Welcome to Soul Explorer! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Dillon Prime Limited (“Soul Explorer”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 04980036) at 11 Chestnut Drive, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15 9GN, United Kingdom. They govern your use of the Soul Explorer app, website and services (the “Services”).
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Services after that, the new Terms apply. If you don’t agree with them, you can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.
A. What Soul Explorer is (and isn’t)
Soul Explorer is a self-guided journey of archetype and shadow work: daily tasks, reflections and a private Log to help you explore your patterns, strengths and inner world.
A lens for reflection. Your archetypal map and the insights in your tasks are a framework for self-reflection and personal growth. They are not facts about who you are, and they are not predictions about your future. You are always the authority on your own life and choices.
Not therapy. The Services are educational and reflective. They are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, treatment or crisis support. Shadow work can bring up strong feelings. If it does, slow down, take a break, and reach out to a qualified professional or someone you trust. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
The Companion uses artificial intelligence to write short reflections on your answers. Its replies are generated automatically. They may be imperfect, and they are not professional advice.
Personal features. Some tasks and extra steps (your Personal Adventure) are chosen for you, automatically, from your onboarding answers and the choices you make in the app. Where the app offers it, your Owner’s Manual is a short summary of what works for you, written by artificial intelligence from your own reflections while the Companion is on. Like the Companion’s replies, it may be imperfect and it is not professional advice.
B. Your account
Eligibility. You must be 18 or older to use the Services. By using them, you confirm that you are.
Your account. You sign in with your email address and password. Please keep your password private and your devices secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account. Please give accurate birth details, so your map is personalised correctly.
C. Using the Services
Licence. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your own, non-commercial use, under these Terms.
You agree not to (and not to help anyone else to):
- copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Services or their content;
- modify, translate, or create derivative works from the Services, except as the law allows;
- decompile, reverse engineer or try to obtain the source code, except as the law allows;
- bypass or interfere with any security or access controls;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access the Services or copy their content;
- upload viruses or harmful code, or interfere with how the Services work;
- share your account, or use the Services in breach of any law.
D. Your content and data
Your content. You own what you write in Soul Explorer. You’re responsible for making sure it’s lawful (for example, take care when writing about other people).
Anonymous insights. We create anonymous, combined statistics from how the Services are used, to improve them. These can’t identify you, and we own them.
Keeping your content safe. We encrypt data in transit and keep daily backups for disaster recovery. No system is perfectly secure, so please use Settings > Export to keep your own copy of anything important.
E. Subscriptions and fees
Payment. Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are processed by the Apple App Store, under its terms. Subscriptions bought on the web are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you buy.
Free trials. If you start a free trial, your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel an App Store subscription at any time in your App Store settings. To cancel a web subscription, email us at mail@mysoulexplorer.com from the address on your account, and we’ll confirm the cancellation by email. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Your right to cancel. Under UK law, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital services. When you start using the Services straight away, you agree to them starting immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose this right once they begin. For App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. For web purchases, contact us and we’ll treat any refund request fairly.
Price changes. We may change our prices. We’ll give you reasonable notice before any change affects your renewal, so you can cancel first if you wish.
F. Our rights
The Soul Explorer name, logos, tasks, artwork, design and other content are our intellectual property, or used with permission. You have no rights in them beyond the personal use these Terms allow.
Feedback. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve our Services without owing you anything.
G. Your mobile network
Your mobile provider’s charges, such as data usage, apply when you use the Services. Your connection and device can affect how well the Services work.
H. Important disclaimers
Reflection, not prediction. Archetypes and maps are tools for exploring yourself. Please don’t treat them as guidance for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions.
Not medical advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional about any physical or mental health concern.
Your journey is your own. You choose how to use the Services, and you’re responsible for the decisions you make, including how you use any AI-generated reflections.
I. Our liability to you
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. We can’t promise they will always be available or free of errors.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, for business losses (the Services are for personal use only), or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose, except where the law doesn’t allow this limit.
J. Ending these Terms
You can stop using the Services at any time, and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it with the App Store, or email us for a web subscription.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we need to in order to protect the Services, other users or the law. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and explain why. If we stop offering the Services altogether, we’ll give you reasonable notice and refund any payment for a period you haven’t received.
K. Sanctions
You confirm that you are not subject to UK, EU, UN or US sanctions, and are not located in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions. You will not use the Services in breach of those sanctions.
L. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. It forms part of these Terms.
M. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a concern, please contact us first and we’ll try to resolve it. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the EU, you can also bring them in your local courts and keep the protection of your local consumer laws.
N. If you use the app from the Apple App Store
If you downloaded the Soul Explorer app from the Apple App Store, these extra terms also apply:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules (including Family Sharing, where available).
- We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to do so.
- If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price you paid for the app. To the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If anyone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile network’s terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Questions, complaints or claims about the app should be sent to us using the details below.
O. General
Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, and will tell you if this affects you. Your rights won’t be reduced as a result. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent.
Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
Severability. If a court decides any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.
No waiver. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
Third parties. Apart from Apple’s rights in section N, only you and we have rights under these Terms.
